Dr. Robert Ballard, 2024 #HoratioAlgerMember and founder and chairman of @nautiluslive, knew for years he had a unique way of thinking, but it wasn’t until he was nearly in his 70s that he was diagnosed with dyslexia and hyperactivity. Always busy and curious, he leaned into those personality traits and leveraged them into a historic career in underwater exploration.

Dr. Ballard’s inspiring professional journey showcases how perseverance and capitalizing on your own unique strengths can lead to groundbreaking achievement – for him, this included the renowned discoveries of the RMS Titanic and USS Yorktown.
